Backstage
The scene comes up backstage and Kimberly Hart is seen warming up for her match against Kyle Reddick. She’s wearing her ring attire and trying to keep her mind on the match. She turns and looks at the camera.
Kimberly Hart: You want to know what they’re going to say about me, Kyle Reddick? They’re going to say that Kimberly Hart is moving on in this rising star Tournament. And you know what they’re going to say about you? Nothing. Yeah, that’s right - nothing. They are going to say nothing because you mean nothing.
She bites her lower lip gently and gives off a smile.
Kimberly Hart: And when you think about this tournament, they’re going to think of me. They’re going to think of everything I’ve done and how far I came and I’m not going to stop until I have that rising championship around my waist. Yeah, you heard me, correctly.
She tilts her head to the side as she giggles.
Kimberly Hart: And when we step in that ring, you’re going to be a message for all those that are still in this thing. So, Kyle Riddick? Be ready. Because in just a few minutes, I’m going to hurt you and you better believe that I’m going to hurt you badly.
She laughs as she walks away while skipping.
Match 1: Kimberly Hart vs Kyle Reddick
Match Result:
In a high-stakes second round match of the Rising Star Championship Tournament, Kimberly Hart faced off against Kyle Reddick in front of a buzzing fairground crowd eager to witness the showdown. The ring announcer, with a commanding voice, set the stage:
“Ring Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, this match is one fall and is a second round match in the Rising Star Championship Tournament!”
The bell rang, and Kimberly wasted no time, lunging at Kyle with a vicious shotgun dropkick, sending him crashing into the corner. The crowd jeered as she taunted them with a smug smile, reveling in her heel persona. Kyle quickly regained his composure, showcasing his resilience with an honorable response, mounting a comeback that had the fans cheering. He executed a flawless snap DDT, nearly scoring a pinfall and sending Kimberly tumbling across the mat.
Seo Hyung Kwon chimed in, “You can see the heart of Kyle Reddick shining through; he’s here to prove that good indeed triumphs over evil.”
The action intensified as Kimberly utilized her speed and cunning. After dodging a strike, she clinched him in a corner, unleashing a flurry of “Yes!” kicks straight to his gut. Reddick staggered but broke free, responding with a fierce flying forearm that sent Kimberly backpedaling. Momentum shifted rapidly between them, each near-fall electrifying the audience as tensions rose.
As the match wore on, Kyle looked poised to take control again, but Kimberly snuck in a rope-hung DDT, connecting with precision and capturing a crucial near-fall that left the crowd gasping. Just as she seemed on the brink of victory, Kyle countered her next assault, delivering his KDR-DT and almost sealing the deal as he hooked her leg for the pin. But Kimberly managed to kick out at two, infuriating Reddick who remained focused.
As the match approached its climax, Kimberly's tactics grew more devious. She feigned injury to bait the referee, then struck Kyle with a cheap shot when the ref's back was turned, earning heavy boos from the audience. She then set up her final blow, scaling the ropes for her big move, but Kyle sprinted up to meet her and executed a desperate superplex that shook the ring!
With both wrestlers down, the crowd was on the edge of their seats, but it was Kimberly who rose first, composed and dangerous. As Kyle staggered to his feet, she locked him in her APEX CRUSHER, applying pressure as he squirmed to escape. The referee checked on him as he grappled with his will, the lights flickering in response to the intensity of the moment.
Just as it seemed Kyle would break free, Kimberly tightened her grip and he ultimately succumbed, tapping out in defeat. The arena erupted in a mix of frustration and applause at the ruthless display.
“What a cunning strategy by Kimberly Hart! She played the crowd and Kyle beautifully, securing her spot in the next round,” Biff Franklin remarked, his excitement palpable.
Winner: Kimberly Hart by submission with APEX CRUSHER.
Match 2: Vesper Venom vs Jessica Carter
The lights dim in the small venue, the crowd buzzing with anticipation as Vesper Venom makes her entrance, a striking figure in her black and green gear. She confidently steps into the ring, her demeanor suggesting unpredictability. Jessica Carter follows, her heel persona evident as she taunts the audience, soaking in their boos with a wicked smile. The atmosphere thickens as the referee signals for the bell, kicking off this clash of styles and philosophies.
The match begins with both women circling each other, Jessica quickly taking control with a headlock. Vesper struggles but flips out, converting the position into a wrist lock. The momentum shifts as Vesper snaps Jessica's arm back, showcasing her agility. The crowd cheers, but Jessica quickly counters with a shoulder tackle, sending Vesper to the mat. “You think you can out-wrestle me?” Jessica sneers, gaining the upper hand.
As the match progresses, Jessica employs her experience, cutting off Vesper's comeback attempts with ruthless strikes and eye rakes that don’t get a warning from the referee. Vesper fights back, landing a series of kicks that dazzle the audience. She attempts her signature “Venomous Kiss” superkick early, but Jessica ducks just in time, showcasing how instinctively aware she is inside the squared circle.
Midway through, the energy in the venue peaks as Vesper performs a flying crossbody, taking Jessica off her feet. The crowd counts along with the referee for the near-fall, resulting in a tense two-count. "What an impactful move!" Biff Franklin exclaims, excitement swelling in his voice. Seo Hyung Kwon chimes in, “That was close! Vesper is really pushing Jessica to her limits tonight.”
However, Jessica responds with an underhanded tactic, grabbing the ropes to pull herself up while delivering a surprise fist to Vesper's midsection. The crowd’s cheers turn to jeers, making it clear who they're supporting. Jessica capitalizes with a brutal headlock driver, attempting to finish things early. She covers, but Vesper kicks out just before the three-count, leaving the audience gasping.
The match reaches its climax as both women exchange punches in the center of the ring. Vesper finally hits a well-timed “Venomous Kiss,” sending Jessica crashing to the canvas. The chants grow louder as Vesper goes for the cover, but Jessica somehow manages to get her shoulder up. With the crowd on the edge of their seats, Vesper transitions seamlessly into the “Bitter End,” locking Jessica in the figure-four leglock, applying immense pressure.
Jessica struggles, clawing at the mat, but the pain becomes too much. As the referee asks if she wants to give up, she shakes her head defiantly, but ultimately can't take the pressure anymore. After a excruciating moment, she taps out, giving Vesper a decisive victory.
Winner: Vesper Venom by submission with Bitter End.
Match 3: Tyler Albright vs Victoria Drake vs Xander Hayes
The bell rang to kick off the triple threat match featuring Tyler Albright, Victoria Drake, and Xander Hayes, and immediately the tension in the fairground venue was palpable. Each competitor circled the ring, sizing each other up as the audience's excitement reached a fever pitch. Tyler quickly took the initiative, launching right at Victoria with a Spin Cycle, kicking her hard in the jaw. The hard blow sent Drake reeling, while Xander seized the opportunity to go on the offensive against Tyler, delivering a swift shoulder block that sent her crashing to the mat.
Both Albright and Hayes traded heavy blows, but Victoria made her presence known again, getting back into the fray with a Black Rose Knee after catching Xander off guard. The crowd erupted as the momentum shifted, with Victoria now firmly in control. She tied up Xander in the ropes, distracting the referee while her heel instincts kicked in, delivering a few cheap shots to the gut. “Typical rule-breaker,” Seo noted from the commentary booth. “You can always count on Victoria to play dirty when it counts.”
As the match heated up, high spots began to transform the pace of the contest. Tyler, with her villainous strategy, managed to pull Victoria onto the apron, executing a Shot In The Dark that sent Drake crashing into the barricade with a sickening thud. The audience cheered wildly as Tyler wasted no time and went for a cover on Victoria, but Hayes, sensing the urgency, was quick to break up the count just in time.
With each competitor showcasing their skills, the match reached dramatic near-falls. Xander hit a Sonic Boom on Tyler, almost putting her away, only for Tyler to kick out just before three. Moments later, Victoria retaliated with her Widowmaker on Hayes, yet again he managed to escape coincidentally as Tyler interrupted the pinfall, showcasing their resilience.
As the battle raged on, it became clear that Tyler was thriving in the chaos, using her cunning to manipulate the situation. She climbed to the top for an Albright's Comet aimed right at an unsuspecting Victoria, who was down on the canvas. Just as Tyler leaped, Xander sprung to his feet, catching her mid-air to hit a powerful Mile High Twist. The impact shook the ring and drew gasps from the crowd.
With all three competitors visibly exhausted, the climax was thrilling. Tyler, determined not to lose, managed to pull Victoria into a corner and hit her with a Lightning Flip, stunning her before going for the cover. Xander, still reeling from his previous move, barely managed to climb back into the ring but was just a moment too late, as the referee’s hand slapped the mat for the three count.
Winner: Tyler Albright by pinfall with Albright's Comet.
Match 4: Ashley “THE MENACE” Ellis 🤳✨ vs Poema Tua
The crowd was electric as Ashley "THE MENACE" Ellis 🤳✨ and Poema Tua squared off in the center of the ring at a packed fairgrounds venue. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation—two rookie talents desperate to prove themselves in front of a live audience. Madoka Kawada, the neutral good General Manager, watched closely from ringside, ready to ensure fairness in the competition.
The opening bell rang, and Ashley, true to her heel persona, immediately went on the offensive, delivering a series of vicious kicks to Poema’s midsection. "Look at her, acting like she runs this place!" Seo Hyung Kwon remarked, critiquing Ashley’s showboating. However, Poema quickly countered with her agility, dodging a sharp enzuigiri and landing a Tropical Twist Superkick that had the crowd roaring in approval.
The early momentum shifted back and forth, with each wrestler showcasing their signature maneuvers. Ashley utilized her Fit Check Kicks, turning the crowd’s cheers into jeers as she paused for a model pose after each strike. Biff Franklin passionately exclaimed, "Ashley is ruthless tonight! You can see why she’s earned 'The Menace' nickname!" Yet, Poema demonstrated her heart and resilience, responding with an Island's End suplex that nearly earned her a pinfall, but Ashley kicked out just in time.
As the match wore on, frustration mounted for both competitors. Ashley attempted to play mind games, whispering “Stay mad” during a submission attempt with her Terms of Service hold. Poema fought valiantly, refusing to tap, and after a struggle, she found the strength to power out, launching into a comeback. The energy in the venue peaked as Poema climbed to the top rope, executing a mesmerizing backflip senton in an attempt to finish the match, but Ashley rolled aside at the last moment, narrowly escaping defeat!
With both women clearly feeling the effects of the clash, they exchanged devastating strikes in the center of the ring. Each landing blow elicited gasps from the audience, and the tension was palpable. Near-falls ensued; Poema barely made a cover after catching Ashley with a beautifully executed snap German suplex, while Ashley countered with a Raito Kick that connected squarely, leaving Poema dazed.
In the match’s climactic moments, Ashley seized control with her wicked strategy, catching Poema off guard with her Shadow Ban knee strike. With the crowd divided, Ashley opportunistically followed this up with her devastating De-Platformer curb stomp, driving Poema face-first into the mat for a decisive pinfall. Referee counted to three amid a chorus of boos from the audience, sealing the fate of the match.
Winner: Ashley "THE MENACE" Ellis 🤳✨ by pinfall with De-Platformer.

Skylar Sweeney is feeling pretty good about herself now that she has continued to maintain her pace. She’s reflecting on the fact that she has made the final four of the Rising Stars tournament and she doesn’t take too long to speak her mind.
Skylar Sweeney: Every time I’ve come out on television, I’ve said what I am going to do and I have stuck to the script on that so to speak. The fact that I am in the final four of the Rising Stars tournament says it all in my book. Xander Hayes was never going to be easy, but when it came right down to it, I did exactly what I said I was going to do and I managed to beat him. I’m in that final four now. But believe me…
Skylar takes a pause as that fierce intensity starts to burn through her.
Skylar Sweeney: I’m not going to be satisfied with just being in the final four, damn it! I am in this whole thing to win it and sure, it will be far from easy and I sure as s*** didn’t get the greatest draw as far as this event is concerned, but I am in the main event and it sure as hell counts for something. To my three opponents, all of you had your chance in that tournament and all of you would ultimately fall short. I look at this match knowing that the odds aren’t in my favor just on sheer number alone, but I know that if I were to go into my semifinals match losing a trap match like this, then I might as well just hand my opponent a bye to the finals to be honest…
Skylar pauses and rolls her eyes at the thought for a moment.
Skylar Sweeney: I know that sounds harsh and that may be a little self critical, but the high expectations that I have of myself aren’t going to go away. Stanton, Ward and Maddox…
Oh god, that sounds like a law firm doesn’t it…
Skylar scoffs.
Skylar Sweeney: You three are the ones that are going to be in my way tonight and trust me when I say that when this match is all said and done, the one that is going to end up with the biggest match, the biggest win and the biggest momentum going into next week is going to be me. I’ll make sure that I do my part no matter the stacked deck that is going to be in my path tonight. So to you three wannabe cowboys, you best learn how to saddle up real quick because I am going in there knowing that failure is unacceptable and it is not an option on a night like this.
Skylar takes a deep breath and then with that, she makes her exit from the scene.
Match 5: Skylar Sweeney vs Joseph Stanton vs Julian Ward vs Grant Maddox
The arena is buzzing with anticipation as the fatal four-way match kicks off. The camera pans across a modest fairground venue, where fans are eagerly chanting for their favorites: Skylar Sweeney, Joseph Stanton, Julian Ward, and Grant Maddox. As the bell rings, the action is fast-paced from the start. Skylar and Grant team up to take on Julian and Joseph, demonstrating impressive chemistry with a series of quick tandem moves, culminating in a snap dragon suplex from Skylar onto Julian.
Seo Hyung Kwon chimes in, "That was a fantastic display of teamwork! Skylar is showing her prowess right out of the gate!" Biff Franklin adds, "You’ve got to wonder how long their alliance will last in this chaotic matchup!" Just as Skylar hooks Julian’s leg for a pinfall, Joseph breaks it up with a jarring STO, throwing both opponents back to square one.
The momentum shifts again when Joseph pulls out a surprise, executing an Iron Verdict STO on Grant that brings the crowd to their feet. Near-falls begin to rack up as each competitor takes turns scoring near-pin attempts. Julian nails Skylar with a Ward Directive knee strike, but she kicks out at two! The audience collectively gasps as the stakes rise.
As the match carries on, Grant whips Julian into the corner, following up with a series of shoulder thrusts. He then attempts his Maddox Law but Julian reverses, sending Grant crashing into Skylar. Both grapple to get up, and in a moment of desperation, Skylar hits a rolling sole butt on Joseph, stunning him. She quickly transitions to her Cattle Clutch submission hold, applying pressure while maintaining her grip on the mat.
Joseph fights valiantly, but the alert referee sees his hand inching toward the ropes. As he begins to tap, Julian dives onto them both, breaking the hold just in time! The energy in the fairground explodes—with fans on their feet, shouting for their favorites. Biff Franklin accurately observes, "What resilience from everyone involved! You can see the hunger for victory in each of these young talents!"
With bodies now exhausted from the grueling battle, the competitors struggle to stay on their feet. Grant and Joseph exchange blows, each looking for a final edge. Grant counters with a Standard Driver, but before he can pin, Skylar delivers a perfectly executed Calgary Crash to Joseph, pinning him down with lightening speed. The referee counts—one, two, three!
In a dramatic conclusion, Skylar’s strategic submissions and adventurous spirit earn her a well-deserved victory in an intense battle of wills and skill. The crowd erupts as she stands tall, celebrating the moment with joyous disbelief.
Winner: Skylar Sweeney by pinfall with "The Calgary Crash".
