New segment

The scene opens up backstage where we find Raya Hope Inella She seems to be busying herself with her phone for a moment, but quickly places it down once she sees the arrival of the camera. She is dressed in her signature future IT girl jacket, as she begins to speak freely in the open.

Raya Hope Inella: "Looks like its time for another episode os Smash! Hello again Splat Wrestling and thank you for all of your support in getting me to this point."

She pauses.

Raya Hope Inella: "I feel as if we are in an extremely weird place where this Rising Star Tournament is concerned, There are so many names and so many people who are vying to be the first one to hold the championship. I can't pretend I don't want to be one of them as I have been saying those words since I've gotten here."

She smiles briefly.

Raya Hope Inella: "I've definitely been having my ups and downs here, but as far as Splat Wrestling Smash is concerned, your girl is undefeated and I refuse to let that change with the introduction of Splat's newest inquisition: Ashley Ellis. Otherwise know as the Menace. Aura Farmer, pretty woman who overuses computer-related terms? Whatever you'd like to refer to her as. It feels a little. . . meh if you ask me. We have so many people who have been vying for their opportunity at this gold and someone new gets to waltz right in and lay their claim?"

Raya lifts her finger, clear visual of her sparkling nails wagging back and forth before shaking her head.

Raya Hope Inella: "Not on my watch! I've worked extremely hard to come this far, I've taken on legends, I've taken on rookies, muscle mommy's, and people double my size. I've been the opener and the main event, and I've done it all with the style and grace of a champion. This is my opportunity to show all of Splat Wrestling that the tutelage I've been giving since day one is exactly what it was meant to be. I am the Rising Star, I'm the one you could build this company around, and I won't be put down by a newcomer or anyone else. I'm heading all the way to that final round!"

She pauses once again.

Raya Hope Inella: "Sorry to our resident Aura Farmer, but you can gain the same kind of notoriety in defeat as you would in a debut victory. Because tonight, This match belongs to me."

She blows a kiss to the camera before heading out of the scene.

Match 1: Ashley “THE MENACE” Ellis 🤳✨ vs Raya Hope Inella

Match Result: The arena buzzed with excitement as the participants prepared for their first-round bout in the Rising Star Championship Tournament. The lights dimmed momentarily before the ring announcer's voice cut through the tension. "Ring Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, this match is one fall and is a first round match in the Rising Star Championship Tournament!" The crowd erupted as both competitors made their way to the ring.

Ashley “THE MENACE” Ellis 🤳✨ strutted out with an air of arrogance, stopping to pose for selfies with fans who were reluctant to cheer for her heel persona. Meanwhile, Raya Hope Inella entered with a determined expression, ready to silence “The Menace.” The atmosphere was electric as the bell rang, officially starting the contest.

At the start, Ellis wasted no time, charging at Inella with a blatant Raito Kick, landing flush against her jaw. Biff Franklin exclaimed, “What a way to start things off! Ellis is coming out aggressively!” However, Inella quickly responded, slipping underneath a wild haymaker and countering with a graceful Code Raya, rolling Ellis into a pin attempt. The referee counted: one… two… Ellis kicked out just in time!

As the match progressed, the momentum shifted several times. Ashley implemented her signature Fit Check Kicks, landing kicks to Inella’s midsection while striking poses that only fueled the crowd's disdain for her. Seo Hyung Kwon commented, “Typical Ashley, relishing the moment. But Inella needs to find a way to turn the tide.”

Inella refused to back down and delivered a powerful Heaven's Close tornado DDT that had the crowd on their feet, followed by a swift Future IT Girl slingshot moonsault that sent Ashley crashing to the mat. With the crowd roaring in approval, Inella attempted another pin, but Ashley powered out at two.

The final moments of the match grew increasingly tense. Ellis, desperate to regain control, attempted her signature Shadow Ban. But Raya, ever-alert, countered with a quick duck and launched Ashley into the ropes. On the rebound, Inella skillfully connected with her Ray of Light short DDT, driving Ashley’s head into the mat! The referee slid into position, and the count began: one… two… Ashley barely kicked out, surviving by a heartbeat.

Frustrated, Ellis rolled to the corner, looking for a breather as she caught the eyes of the crowd. But Raya, fueled by her momentum, climbed to the top rope for the finish. With the crowd buzzing, she leapt for the deadly reverse hurricanrana—“The Ray of Hope!"—and executed it perfectly, sending Ashley crashing down for the final pinfall cover!

The referee counted: one… two… three! The bell rang, and the arena erupted for Raya Hope Inella.

"What an incredible display of resilience and skill from Raya! She withstood everything Ellis threw at her!" Biff declared, excitement palpable in his voice. Seo added, “This showdown was a real testament to both wrestlers, but Inella's determination truly shone through.”

Winner: Raya Hope Inella by pinfall with Ray of Light.

Match 2: Victoria Drake vs Tamara Samuels

Ring Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, this match is one fall and is a first round match in the Rising Star Championship Tournament!

As the bell rings, Victoria Drake and Tamara Samuels circle each other in the ring, both determined to establish dominance early on. Victoria, embodying a classic heel persona, quickly pushes Tamara back into the corner, delivering a sharp slap to the face that draws oohs from the crowd. Tamara retaliates with a ferocious shove, and both women exchange hard-hitting strikes, showcasing their aggression.

With momentum shifting, Tamara gains the upper hand, delivering a quick snap overhead wristlock that catches Victoria off guard. The crowd rallies behind her as she transitions into a series of eye-catching moves — a swift knee to the gut followed by an impressive hurricanrana. Victoria, however, is not one to back down easily. She regains control with a well-timed poke to the eye, causing Tamara to stagger back and further igniting the jeers of the fans.

The match progresses with Victoria delivering her signature Black Rose Knee, hitting Tamara flush and almost scoring the first pinfall of the night. The referee's hand comes down for a two-count, but Tamara kicks out just in time, leaving the audience buzzing with excitement. Biff Franklin on commentary exclaims, “What a shot! Victoria is clearly looking for a quick finish, but Tamara’s resilience is showing!”

Victoria's confidence is evident as she taunts Tamara, locking in a headlock to wear her down. Just when it seems she might dominate the match, Tamara powers out, hitting a powerful spinebuster that sends Victoria crashing to the mat. The tide appears to turn, and with the crowd cheering her on, Tamara attempts a quick cover but only gets a two-count.

Tensions rise in the ring as both competitors trade near-falls; Victoria attempts to hook Tamara with her Royal Decree but misses, leaving her open for a retaliatory attack. Tamara seizes the moment, wrapping Victoria into her Over the Black Rainbow, bending her spine precariously while tearing at her head and neck. The referee checks Victoria’s response, but she manages to escape, feeding off the energy in the venue.

The final moments of the match see both wrestlers visibly fatigued but fiercely determined. Tamara lands an impactful Black Dawn, executing a brutal elevated double-arm DDT that sends Victoria crashing hard onto the mat. The crowd holds its breath as Tamara covers for the pin, but in a shocking turn, Victoria manages to get her foot on the bottom rope, breaking the count at the last possible moment.

In a frantic finish, Tamara, visibly frustrated, goes for another Black Dawn. However, Victoria counters, catching Tamara off balance and dropping her onto the canvas with the Widowmaker! Victoria hooks the leg as the referee counts—one, two, three!

Winner: Victoria Drake by pinfall with Widowmaker.

Backstage

Backstage, Vesper Venom was seen with a smirk on her face. She was already in her ring gear, more than ready for her tournament match against Tyler Albright. Her dual colored hair was partially up, some loose strands hanging in her face as she looked at the camera.

"Tyler Albright...I know of you. If the family you married into. I'm sure Cassidy helps you train and hone your skills, doesn't he?"

Vesper laughed a low, sensual laugh. Her painted lips curled into a grin as she began walking down the hall. The loose hair swayed in her face with the natural force that came from her moving.

"Whatever training you may get with him? Is absolutely nothing compared to what I've received from Axl. The man is a wrestling genius...truly one of the best I ever seen. I wouldn't be where I am without him and his training."

A cunning grin came to her lips as she looked at the camera, not giving anything away in terms of her feelings. She continued down the hall, ignoring those that passed by her in the process.

"Tonight will truly be a battle of wits and skills. It's unfortunate for you that I happen to have quite a bit of both, Tyler. You may have a little more ring time than I do, but I can promise that I am unlike anyone you have faced before. And I can promise that when we meet in the ring?"

Vesper paused for a moment, a sweet, slg smile coming to her face. She looked around her for a very brief moment before looking at the camera again.

"You won't know a damn thing that has hit you, darling. I have my natural skills then there's what I've learned from Axl. And I promise you...he has taught me way more than Cassidy could ever help you with. When we meet tonight? The Venom will put you down."

Match 3: Kimberly Hart vs Jessica Carter

As the lights dimmed in the small fairground venue, the atmosphere was electric. Kimberly Hart, the chaotic villainess, strutted to the ring with an air of confidence, her dark persona drawing a chorus of boos from the crowd. Opposite her was the seasoned Jessica Carter, whose twelve years of experience made her a formidable opponent. The stage was set for a clash of wills that promised to be as chaotic as it was captivating.

As the bell rang, the two women circled one another cautiously before locking up. **Kimberly** quickly gained the upper hand, driving **Jessica** into the corner with a series of shoulder thrusts. The referee broke the hold, but Kimberly wasted no time in taunting the fans, soaking in their jeers. She followed up with her signature move, **"Watch Me,"** delivering a sharp shotgun dropkick that sent Jessica crashing hard into the turnbuckle, causing the crowd to erupt in approval for the impact.

Jessica, however, was not to be underestimated. With her experience, she quickly regained her composure and countered Kimberly’s relentless offense with stiff strikes and a series of quick counters. A dramatic near-fall came when she expertly countered a **Rope Hung DDT** from Kimberly, instead delivering her own move, a sudden **Bonne Nuit** that nearly caught Kimberly off guard.

As the match progressed, tension filled the air. Both women exchanged blows, with Jessica looking to rally the crowd behind her. A notable moment arrived when she fended off a desperate submission attempt from Kimberly, turning it into a DDT that left both wrestlers sprawled on the mat, gasping for air. With both competitors down, Biff Franklin exclaimed, “What a resilient exchange! These two are bringing the fight on a whole new level!”

The back-and-forth action continued, with Jessica trying to capitalize on her momentum, but Kimberly was not easily intimidated. In a desperate move, she resorted to a series of underhanded tactics, pushing the referee’s patience to the limit. Just as it seemed Jessica might secure the win, Kimberly struck down with her **Nightmares Are Made Of** move, followed by an aggressive assault that left Jessica reeling.

With the match drawing to a close, Kimberly shifted gears, looking for her finishing move. As Jessica rose, still dazed, Kimberly grasped her, executing her devastating **SHATTERED DREAMS**, a spider crawl to Sister Abigail that sent shockwaves through the crowd. She quickly went for the cover, hooking both legs as the referee slid into position, the sound of the mat echoing throughout the venue.

With the crowd holding their breath, the ref's hand struck the mat for the third time. The bell rang, and Kimberly Hart's wicked laughter filled the arena as she stood tall, her victory secured. The arena atmosphere swung to a mix of shock and disdain, firmly placing Kimberly in the spotlight of the show.

Winner: Kimberly Hart by pinfall with **SHATTERED DREAMS**.

The scene starts with Poema Tua getting ready for her match up as she's in the rising star championship and this is the first round match that is about to be coming her way.

Poema Tua: All of my hard work in a short time, will be coming down to this as I will be facing off against Grant Maddox in round one.

She pauses for a second

Poema Tua: After all this time, I feel like one day, I am the favorite to win this, but at the same time, knowing who I am going against, there are some days that I feel like I am not the favorite. Many can say that a favorite can be upset in these types of rounds.

She stops for a second

Poema Tua: And that's the beauty and the nature of this tournament - you can be knocked out! I didn't expect to be in this and I didn't expect to have a spot, but when it comes to becoming the first ever Rising Star Champion...

She stops.

Poema Tua: It's going to be an honor. Though in order for me to get there is I have to defeat Maddox and move on! Nothing is going to stop me, not even him!

Poema walks out for her match as she's ready for this

Match 4: Grant Maddox vs Poema Tua

As the lights dimmed over the small fairground venue, the air thickened with excitement. The ring announcer, with an enthusiastic tone, declared, "Ladies and gentlemen, this match is one fall and is a first round match in the Rising Star Championship Tournament!" The crowd erupted with cheers as both competitors made their entrances.

Grant Maddox strode confidently to the ring, eliciting loud cheers from the audience. Standing in stark contrast, Poema Tua brought an infectious energy, waving to the crowd and displaying her high-octane persona. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation as the referee signaled for the bell, officially kicking off the match.

The opening moments saw a classic grapple sequence, with both wrestlers exhibiting their rookie skills. Maddox, with his solid foundation, showcased his strength by executing a series of arm drags to take control. Poema, quick on her feet, skillfully countered with her agility, flipping over Maddox and landing gracefully on her feet. “What a move!” Biff Franklin exclaimed, while Seo Hyung Kwon noted, “You can see how both wrestlers are eager to make an impression in this tournament. Each point counts.”

As they traded blows, Poema connected with her signature move, the Tropical Twist Superkick, which sent Maddox staggering back. The crowd gasped as Maddox barely managed to dodge a pin attempt, with the referee’s hand hovering perilously close to the mat. The near-fall sparked renewed energy in Maddox, who rallied with thunderous support from his fans.

With the match heating up, Maddox responded with a series of powerful maneuvers, culminating in attempts to hit his devastating Maddox Law. Just as he lifted Poema into position, she wriggled free and landed a stunning snap German suplex known as Island's End, bridging for the pin. The referee's hand came down for another tense two-count, and the crowd erupted once more as Maddox kicked out.

The momentum shifted back and forth, both competitors pushed to their limits. With neither willing to back down, Maddox attempted a desperation move—the Standard Driver—but Poema countered with a spectacular backflip that left the fans on their feet. "You’ve got to admire the heart these two show in this match!" Biff Franklin remarked passionately.

As the match neared its conclusion, Poema scaled the ropes, the crowd holding their breath. She celebrated, proud of her hard-fought win, having made a significant statement in her debut match. Grant Maddox, while disappointed, acknowledged Poema's skill and fought honorably, earning respect from the fans.

Winner: Poema Tua by pinfall with Good Night From the Waves.

Skylar Sweeney has found herself in a bit of a surprising situation. She hasn’t been on the house show loop lately, but this doesn’t appear to be bothering her too much (and if it does, she’s not showing it). She’s walking down the hallway as she’s focusing on what’s ahead but before long, she’s noticing the camera in front of her. She talks a pause in her walk and starts to think about what is coming up in front of her.

Skylar Sweeney: There’s so much going on right now…

Skylar is thinking about the lay of the land a little bit more.

Skylar Sweeney: The tournament has started and I know who I am facing. That would be Jessica Carter after I beat her last week. That’s perfectly fine with me. I know that I can beat her again. It’s going to be one tough tournament and I know that there can’t be a situation where I can’t let up even if it’s against someone that I have already beaten before…

That’s where you come in Elena…

Skylar is reflecting on how bad of a spot she was in prior to when she faced her two weeks ago.

Skylar Sweeney: I was very much struggling before I faced you two weeks ago. That fact isn’t something that was lost on me. I went into our last encounter in a situation where I had to win because I know that I could do better and that things had to turn around. When I faced you last time, my back was up against the wall…

The look on her face as she continues to reflect on this shows someone that has grown a hardened resolve since the first encounter.

Skylar Sweeney: …I was in a must win situation. The pressure was on me to get it done because otherwise, I was staring down the barrel of one of the worst records in the company and I had to do what I had to do to avoid that fate. I didn’t come here to be one of the worst wrestlers in the company and I know that there are others before me that graduated from my school that hit a similar road block that I was in when I faced you and I know the path that they went down.

I wasn’t going to go down the same path.

I had to stay true to myself, Elena. That’s what I did. So that match against you, when I won that? That’s when I felt like it was starting to turn around and so help me, I WILL continue that positive momentum. I’m not about to regress by losing to you now, not with the tournament going on and not when I need all the momentum that I can get. This is your gut check now! This is where we see if you’ve improved or have adjusted.

If you haven’t, then I am confident I will beat you again!

Skylar exits, her confidence increasing.

Match 5: Skylar Sweeney vs Elena Douglas

The atmosphere in the fairgrounds is electric, with fans buzzing in anticipation as Skylar Sweeney and Elena Douglas make their entrances for the singles match. As the bell rings, Skylar wastes no time rushing at Elena, delivering a swift Snap Dragon Suplex that lands her firmly in control. The crowd erupts as she quickly takes momentum, following up with a Rolling Sole Butt, aimed directly at Elena's midsection, eliciting a pained grunt from the heel.

Elena, known for her villainous antics, isn't one to back down easily. She rolls to the outside, using the brief moment to regain her composure and taunt the crowd, reminding everyone that good guys don't always win. As Skylar waits impatiently, Elena suddenly slides back into the ring and charges, catching Skylar off guard with a Sliding D, knocking her down hard. The crafty rookie smiles as she begins her assault, employing dirty tactics and drawing heat from the crowd.

Seo Hyung Kwon adds insight on commentary. "Elena Douglas may be new, but she's already showing a savvy understanding of how to control the pace of a match. Her heel tactics are working in her favor tonight!" Biff Franklin shouts, "But you can't count out Skylar! She has the heart of a champion, and that could turn things back in her favor!"

As the match progresses, both women exchange fierce blows. Skylar rallies back with a Leaping Armbreaker, dazing Elena momentarily and allowing her to seize the moment. With the crowd roaring behind her, Skylar hits an Exploder Suplex, throwing Elena into the turnbuckle pads and following up with a powerful spinebuster. She covers for a near-fall, but Elena manages to kick out just in time, angering the crowd and fueling Skylar’s resolve.

Frustrated but focused, Elena pulls out her signature Stump Piledriver, nearly securing the victory but Skylar shows her tenacity by barely lifting a shoulder in the nick of time. With both wrestlers clearly battling fatigue, Elena attempts her finishing move, the Phoenix Down, but Skylar counters with fierce determination, reversing it into a Cattle Clutch!

With the crowd on their feet, Skylar tightens her grip, leveraging every ounce of her strength in the hold. Elena struggles desperately, her face contorted in pain, but eventually, she begins to fade. With a final burst of energy, Elena tries to reach the ropes but it’s too late; she taps out in surrender.

Biff Franklin exclaims, “What a comeback for Skylar Sweeney! She knew her chances, and she took them all!” Seo Hyung Kwon adds, “This shows why we can’t underestimate heart in the ring. Skylar’s ability to adapt and counter is remarkable!”

Winner: Skylar Sweeney by submission with Cattle Clutch.

Match 6: Tyler Albright vs Vesper Venom

Ring Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, this match is one fall and is a first round match in the Rising Star Championship Tournament!

The atmosphere inside the fairgrounds is electric as Tyler Albright makes her way to the ring, taunting the crowd, who are quick to boo her villainous demeanor. Opposite her, Vesper Venom enters with a confident stride, ready to prove herself in this crucial tournament match. The bell rings and the two women circle each other cautiously, both keenly aware of what's at stake.

Tyler starts off aggressively, lunging forward with a Spin Cycle that connects cleanly with Vesper's jaw, knocking her back into the ropes. As Vesper rebounds, Tyler goes for an early Shot In The Dark, but Vesper sidesteps, catching her rival off-guard. Vesper retaliates with a quick dropkick, sending Tyler tumbling outside the ring. The referee begins the count as Vesper plays to the crowd, establishing herself as a fan favorite despite the chaotic neutrality in her character.

Commentary from Biff Franklin heightens the tension: "Tyler Albright is known for her dirty tactics, but she’s going to need to fight clean if she wants to get past Vesper here!" Meanwhile, Seo Hyung Kwon adds, "Vesper’s agile style could capitalize on Tyler’s inexperience—momentum is everything in a tournament match!"

Tyler slams her hands against the mat in frustration, regaining her composure before sliding back into the ring just ahead of the ten-count. She charges at Vesper, attempting a Lightning Flip, but Vesper catches her and counters with a powerful armdrag, sending Tyler sprawling once more. Vesper takes control, executing a flurry of strikes to keep the pressure on Tyler, culminating in a well-placed superkick, but Tyler narrowly escapes a pinfall attempt.

As the match progresses, the momentum shifts back to Tyler when she fakes a knee injury, catching Vesper by surprise. With a devious grin, she nails a Code Tyler, leaving Vesper staggered. Tyler hooks the leg for a close near-fall, but Vesper kicks out, clearly still in the fight.

Vesper combines her unpredictability and skill to mount a comeback, hitting a stiff DDT before rolling Tyler over for another near-fall. The crowd's excitement builds as both women trade blows, but Tyler resorts to a blatant eye poke, drawing boos from the audience. This moment exemplifies her villainous nature.

With both competitors looking exhausted, they rise to their feet and Vesper retaliates with a sharp throat thrust followed by a series of hard kicks. She sets up for her Venomous Kiss, but Tyler wisely ducks out of the way, catching Vesper with a sudden roll-up, only for another near-fall as Vesper escapes just in time!

As the match nears its conclusion, Vesper regains her footing and finally catches Tyler off guard with the Venomous Kiss; the impact is solid, and she quickly covers for the pin. The referee counts—one, two, three!

Winner: Vesper Venom by pinfall with Venomous Kiss.
