Match 1: Kyle Reddick vs Victoria Drake
The atmosphere in the small fairground venue crackles with anticipation as the lights dim slightly for the singles match between Kyle Reddick and Victoria Drake. Both competitors are relatively new, but their contrasting styles promise an engaging encounter. The bell rings, and Kyle Reddick steps forward, his demeanor calm and focused, while Victoria Drake smirks confidently, embodying her villainous persona.
The match begins with a lock-up, with Drake quickly transitioning to a headlock, showcasing her technical prowess. Kyle counters, pushing her off and delivering a swift shoulder block that sends her tumbling to the mat. The crowd cheers as he follows it up with an arm drag, but Drake rolls to the outside, taking a moment to regain her composure. Commentary rings out as Biff Franklin exclaims, “What an agile escape from Victoria! She’s not going to let Reddick dictate the pace!” Seo Hyung Kwon notes, “She’s buying time, but in wrestling, that can sometimes come back to haunt you.”
As she re-enters the ring, Drake uses her underhanded tactics, striking Kyle with a swift kick to the gut followed by a vicious Crown Breaker (Hammerlock Back Suplex) that sends him crashing to the mat. She follows up with a pin, but Kyle kicks out at two, fighting to continue. Victoria scoffs at the resilience shown by Reddick, clearly disgruntled that he’s not staying down. The crowd starts to rally behind him, sensing an underdog story unfolding.
The momentum shifts back and forth, with both competitors exchanging strikes. Drake nails her signature Black Rose Knee (Running knee strike to a kneeling opponent), which leaves Reddick gasping on the mat. She makes another cover, but again, Kyle powers out at the last moment, which incites the crowd into a frenzy. Biff is on the edge of his seat, “This kid has guts! You’ve got to wonder how much more he can take!”
With Kyle on the defensive, Drake tries to capitalize, keeping him grounded with an array of holds and taunts. However, the fight in Reddick begins to shine through as he powers back to a vertical base, delivering a flurry of strikes that catches Drake off guard. He catches her off the ropes and executes a well-timed snap DDT (KDR-DT), leaving both competitors laid out on the mat.
The referee begins the count as the crowd rallies behind Reddick with claps and cheers. Kyle stirs first, using the ropes to pull himself up just as Drake is beginning to regain her senses. In a dramatic moment, Reddick hoists her into position, looking for a decisive finish. With fierce determination, he connects his KDR-DT once more, this time getting a clean cover. The referee counts—one, two, three!
As the bell rings, the crowd erupts in excitement for Kyle Reddick, who has managed to overcome the odds against the scheming Victoria Drake.
Winner: Kyle Reddick by pinfall with KDR-DT.

Skylar Sweeney has been riding a bit of a momentum wave lately. Following two straight wins after the initial disappointment, she’s in a better mood but she knows that the job is nowhere close to finished. She’s still got that determined look on her face and she’s clearly not satisfied as she begins to speak.
Skylar Sweeney: I hate to admit that prior to my match against Elena, I was questioning things a little. But I was. I know that I ultimately could not give up and most importantly, I could not fall victim to the same trap that other graduates before me had. Elena thought she was going to get by on brute strength and mind games, but I said ‘no’ to that…
Skylar pauses as she reflects on her win over Elena for a moment.
Skylar Sweeney: Where I’m from? We’re not quitters. Calgary was never going to be disappointed in me and I wasn’t going to let it happen. I know that when people think of Canada, people are always talking about Montreal or Toronto. Shoot, even back in my own province, it seems like Edmonton gets the shine because of how big and how touristy it can be and because they have the better hockey team at the moment as much as I don’t like admitting that.
But in Calgary, you are born tough, you are raised tough.
If you come to Calgary expecting to be catered to and expecting to skate by in the wrong city, then you’re in the wrong city.
I know from what I’ve seen and learned, so many wrestlers in this business wouldn’t make it there. Shoot, I know some people on this roster wouldn’t make it there. Jessica Carter, you’re one of those that wouldn’t. I can tell. You got that pretty girl vibe, I don’t see you really have that strong of a desire to improve really. You’ve been around the block, but you don’t push hard enough. I don’t know what weight you think you carry, girl. But in Calgary, you’d get spit up and chewed out.
Back home, you’re gonna get bucked off the horse one way or another. You can’t avoid that. But when that happens, you got two choices: you can get back on the horse and keep riding or you can run away and disappear out of the stampede where everyone’s gonna forget about you. That’s how it is…
Skylar pauses as she knows that what she just said isn’t going to sit well with everyone on the roster but she doesn’t seem like she’s too worried about it.
Skylar Sweeney: I’ve made it clear that I’m not here to be some sweetheart that gets knocked around and left for dead. I think I’ve made myself known as a take no BS, cowgirl hearted personality that doesn’t sit back and accept the dang underdog label. I expect to win every match that I can.
I didn’t come to be a spectator…
I came to run the Stampede!
Saddle up, Carter.
That horse is about to give you a big kick in the teeth…
Skylar makes her exit full of vigor and increasing confidence.
Match 2: Skylar Sweeney vs Jessica Carter
The lights dimmed at the small fairground venue as the crowd buzzed with anticipation for the singles match between Skylar Sweeney and Jessica Carter. The atmosphere was electric, palpable with the excitement of hopeful fans eager to see the young wrestlers showcase their skills. Commentary team Biff Franklin and Seo Hyung Kwon set the stage, hyping the audience for this thrilling encounter.
As the bell rang, Skylar initiated the action with an aggressive charge, catching Jessica off-guard. A flurry of quick strikes to the midsection set the tone early for the crowd-favorite Skylar, who was clearly fueled by her desire to win. Jessica quickly regained her composure, utilizing her ring experience to evade Skylar’s offense and retaliate with a series of sharp kicks, sending her opponent back against the ropes.
Seo Hyung Kwon noted, “This is a classic case of experience versus enthusiasm. Jessica is playing it smart, trying to turn the tide here.” Indeed, Jessica’s cunning strategy came into play as she used the ropes to her advantage, cutting off Skylar’s momentum momentarily. She delivered a hard knee to Skylar's abdomen, leaving the rookie gasping for air, and transitioned into a hammerlock that demonstrated her experience and force.
Skylar, however, is no stranger to adversity. Rallying back, she countered the hold with a Leaping Armbreaker, sending Jessica stumbling backward into the turnbuckle. The crowd erupted as Skylar took control. She followed up with a Snap Dragon Suplex that showcased her agility, lifting Jessica off her feet and slamming her to the mat. A close near-fall ensued as Skylar quickly hooked Jessica's leg for a pin, but Jessica kicked out at two, proving her resilience.
The match heated up as Jessica, realizing she was on the back foot, resorted to some underhanded tactics. She pulled Skylar’s hair and used the ropes for leverage to regain the advantage. The audience booed, showing their disapproval of Jessica's attempts to bend the rules. Jessica executed her "Bonne Nuit," trying to secure a tight headlock driver, but Skylar managed to power out just in time, adding another tense moment to the match.
As the match neared its climax, both women exchanged blows, their determination on full display. In the throes of combat, Skylar landed her signature Rolling Sole Butt, stunning Jessica once again. With the crowd rallying behind her, Skylar took this opportunity to attempt “The Calgary Crash.” However, Jessica struggled and countered with a shove, narrowly avoiding defeat as she desperately clung to the ropes.
But it was a moment of miscalculation from Jessica that changed the tide once more. Believing she had regained control, she attempted to set Skylar up for another headlock driver; however, Skylar shifted her weight and used Jessica’s momentary stumble to lock in her finisher, the Cattle Clutch. With brute force and the roar of the crowd behind her, Skylar pulled Jessica back, tightening the hold as the crowd cheered wildly.
Jessica fought valiantly, trying to relieve the pressure, but it was no use. After several agonizing seconds, she finally had no choice but to tap out, conceding the victory to the tenacious Skylar Sweeney.
Winner: Skylar Sweeney by submission with Cattle Clutch.
Match 3: Elena Douglas vs Joseph Stanton
The show opens with a roaring crowd in a small fairground arena, buzzing with anticipation for an exciting singles clash between Elena Douglas and Joseph Stanton. The atmosphere is electric, with fans split on their allegiances as sideline announcers Biff Franklin and Seo Hyung Kwon gear up for commentary. Madoka Kawada, the neutral General Manager, has hyped this match as a showcase of the emerging talent in the developmental federation.
As the bell rings, Elena eagerly strides to the center of the ring, a cocky smirk on her face, knowing her chaotic edge plays well to the crowd's boos. Joseph, on the other hand, stands ready with a focused demeanor, preparing to counter her underhanded tactics. Elena takes an early advantage, using her speed to dart around him, striking with quick chops and slaps, laughing off his attempts to mount any offense.
Joseph, displaying his Chaotic Neutral energy, eventually retaliates, ducking a wild swing and showcasing an impressive hip toss. The crowd cheers as he follows it up with a standing dropkick that sends Elena sprawling into the corner. With momentum shifting, he charges at her with a flurry of strikes. However, Elena manages to slip out of the corner and trip him up, using the ropes to propel him forward, causing him to collide with the turnbuckle hard. The devious wrestler takes this opportunity to taunt the crowd and focus on Joseph's back, pummeling him with calculated strikes and a brutal Stump Piledriver that nearly scores a three-count.
With the match reaching a climactic point, Joseph finds himself fighting from underneath. Despite the pain, he mounts a comeback, displaying resilience that resonates with some fans. He counters a Dragon's Clutch attempt with a backslide pin for a dramatic near-fall, leaving Elena furious. The tension continues building as Joseph catches her with an Iron Verdict STO, sending shockwaves through the venue — yet he only manages a two-count.
Elena, desperate to reclaim control, shifts tactics and pulls off a swift Twilight’s Snare, aiming to sap Joseph's energy. Once again, he proves his resolve by reaching the ropes just in time, causing the seasoned heel to explode with frustration. The audience is on the edge of their seats as both competitors lay exhausted on the mat, exchanging a look that dares the other to make the first move.
In the final moments, Joseph seizes the initiative, attempting to lock in his signature Stanton Lockdown Crossface. The crowd erupts, believing he may steal the victory. Yet, with a swift kick, Elena breaks free and immediately rises to execute her finishing move: the devastating Phoenix Down curb stomp. The crowd gasps as Joseph crashes to the mat, unable to answer the referee's count of three. Elena revels in her villainous victory, drawing heat from the audience as she stands tall while Joseph struggles to gain his footing.
Winner: Elena Douglas by pinfall with Phoenix Down.
Match 4: Tamara Samuels vs Xander Hayes
The atmosphere inside the modestly sized fairground venue was electric as Tamara Samuels made her entrance, exuding chaos and a villainous charm that drew immediate heat from the crowd. She sauntered to the ring, taunting the audience while her opponent, Xander Hayes, received a warm reception as the heroic babyface of the match. The tension in the air was palpable as the referee signaled for the bell to begin the contest.
As the match commenced, Xander wasted no time aiming to establish control with a series of quick arm drags, showcasing his technical proficiency. However, Tamara was quick to use her underhanded tactics, rolling out of the ring to catch her breath while mocking Xander's athleticism. This allowed her to regroup and regain composure before re-entering the squared circle, where the two exchanged lock-ups and grapples, each fighting for an advantage.
In a pivotal moment, Xander caught her off guard with a smooth discounter lariat, sending her sprawling to the mat. The crowd erupted as he signaled for a follow-up, but Tamara rolled to the ropes, using them to help herself back onto her feet. With visible frustration, Xander pulled her back in and delivered a series of strikes that sent her reeling. Just as he prepared to deliver a neckbreaker, Tamara swept his leg, causing him to crash hard on the canvas.
From that point on, Tamara seized control, unloading with ruthless strikes and trying to wear down her opponent. A suplex and her brutal elevated double-arm DDT—known as the Black Dawn—almost scored a pinfall, but Xander kicked out at two, maintaining the audience's hope. Tamara taunted the crowd, reveling in their anger, but Xander’s resilience shined through as the crowd rallied behind him.
An intense back-and-forth showcased both wrestlers' heart. Xander rallied with a burst of energy, connecting with an impressive right hand, then attempted his signature Sonic Boom. Unfortunately for him, Tamara dodged at the last moment, managing to gain the upper hand again. She quickly locked him into a vicious standing inverted Cloverleaf while also applying a crossface, the Over the Black Rainbow, threatening to end the match. Xander, nearly trapped, fought valiantly and managed to reach the ropes, forcing a break just before the referee could call for a submission.
With the crowd completely engaged, both wrestlers displayed their tenacity, trading near-falls and escalating the drama in the final moments. Tamara, desperately trying to capitalize, set Xander up for a second Black Dawn; however, he fought it off, countering with another Discus Lariat that nearly flipped Tamara inside out! The referee counted—one, two—kickout! The near-fall had the audience on their feet.
As the match reached its climax, Xander rallied once more, digging deep into his reserves. He executed a beautiful Northern Lights Suplex and quickly transitioned into a covering pin, but Tamara, with a burst of desperation, powered out just in time. In a frantic finish, Xander finally connected with the Sonic Boom, taking Tamara off her feet and successfully going for the cover. The referee made the count: one, two, three!
Winner: Xander Hayes by pinfall with Sonic Boom.
Match 5: Poema Tua vs ONNA
The atmosphere was electric inside the fairgrounds as fans packed the stands for the highly anticipated singles match between Poema Tua and ONNA. Both wrestlers, known for their heroic spirits, had established themselves as crowd favorites, but tonight, only one would walk away with the victory. General Manager Madoka Kawada had ensured a thoroughly fair contest, and the cheers from the audience echoed through the venue, signifying their excitement.
As the bell rang, the two competitors locked up in the center of the ring, showcasing their strong fundamentals. Poema Tua quickly asserted herself with a series of crisp arm drags, sending ONNA crashing to the mat with determination. ONNA, not to be outdone, responded with a spinning heel kick that caught Poema off guard, shifting the momentum in her favor. The back-and-forth nature of the match kept the audience on the edge of their seats, with both women showcasing their technical prowess.
Just minutes into the match, Poema unleashed her signature move, the Tropical Twist Superkick, aimed at ONNA's jaw. The impact reverberated through the arena, bringing the crowd to a frenzy as Poema went for the quick cover. The referee counted—one... two! ONNA kicked out at the last moment, demonstrating her resilience. "What a near-fall!" exclaimed Biff Franklin, his voice filled with excitement. "This match has just started heating up!" Seo Hyung Kwon added, "Both women are fighting with all their might here, neither willing to back down."
As the match unfolded, tensions rose, and the pace quickened. Poema attempted to maintain control with a series of strikes, but ONNA's quickness allowed her to evade and counter with a series of elbows to the midsection. The two exchanged blows, showcasing their competitive spirit and determination, but the tide turned as both competitors ventured outside the ring. The audience held its breath as ONNA attempted to rally her fans with a show of determination, only for disaster to strike.
As she made her way back into the ring after catching her breath, ONNA slipped awkwardly on the mat's edge, twisting her knee on impact. The audible gasp from the audience made the gravity of the situation clear. ONNA crumpled to the floor, clutching her knee in pain. The referee cautiously checked on her condition, but it was evident that the injury was serious. "This is just tragic for ONNA," commented Franklin, concern evident in his tone. "It may have just cost her the match!" Seo Hyung Kwon added, "This can be a devastating setback for such a promising young talent."
With ONNA unable to continue, the referee called for the match to end. Madoka Kawada's decision came swiftly, and Poema's victory by forfeit was announced. Though she had won, the circumstances dampened the celebration as she showed concern for her fallen opponent.
Winner: Poema Tua by forfeit with no finishing move.
Backstage
Our scene opens to the backstage area where we find a set of crates typically used for storage equipment. Before long we see the appearance of a young woman who's hair is tied back into a long, straightened ponytail. She smiles to the camera as she notices it arrive and she sits atop the crate crossing her legs as she does so. She is dressed in a bedazzled one piece number, the rhinestone applications varying in color to spell out the name "Raya" across the front of the outfit. She turns to look at the camera a very coy smile appearing on her face.
Raya Hope Inella: "Oh Hi Splat TV! Its so nice to know that moving forward due to the success of Splat Wrestling that our weekly televised program will be called SMASH! I'm excited, aren't you?!"
She asked rhetorically.
Raya Hope Inella: "No Really, i'm ecstatic because here we are again ready to put on another glorious performance, and offering me another chance to show you all that I can be the breakout star that I think I am! After these last few weeks I've already seen some of you getting behind me and finally realizing that I'm not all hype, i've taken on the veterans, i've taken on the venemous, and I've gone up against the muscle mommy's, and now? We are harboring our first main event! I will be taking on Julian Ward and Grant Maddox who both have had quite an interesting time here in Splat thus far, but both offer something extremely unique that I haven't faced thus far."
She paused.
Raya Hope Inella: "I'm not just here to prove that I have what it takes to be a performer, that would be entirely too easy. Instead I am here to prove that I am the performer, the one deserving of the top spot, the one to be the Rising Star Champion and to do that I need to make sure that I go through every obstacle and opponent that I need to, to ensure that everyone knows my worth. I'm not afraid to put in the hard work and I'm certain not afraid to go the distance needed to capture my hearts desire."
She starts to swing her legs a bit now almost as if she were getting antsy.
Raya Hope Inella: "The truth is I know that I was being looked at as a front-runner but things can change in the blink of an eye, there is a lot of stiff competition in this place and while my record may be pretty decent according to Splat TV, I am not perfect and I don't pretend to be. I'm a wide-eyed rookie with a lot of potential and I have heard that repeatedly, but I am also a rookie who has exactly what it takes to lead this company into its next extension with Shooting Stars and The Superstar. I've got so much to prove and that starts tonight with Julian and Grant. I know both of these men are experienced, I know triple threat matches are always something you have to be cognizant of when entering them as they aren't the same. There's so many dynamics and so little predictability because of the factors, but I do have one thing on my side. My Speed and my Ability. So whatever may come between these two I know that I have what it takes to put either of them down for the three count and I certainly won't stop until I've done just that."
She stands now.
Raya Hope Inella: "I'm your future IT girl and this is my time to shine in this main event, and you best believe neither of these men is ready for me. I'm the Rising Star and I am going to prove it."
She offers a kiss to the camera before turning away to head towards the ring.
Match 6: Raya Hope Inella vs Julian Ward vs Grant Maddox
The atmosphere in the small fairground venue crackled with anticipation as the competitors for the triple threat match made their entrances. Raya Hope Inella, wearing her signature bright colors, could be seen with a confident glint in her eyes, while Julian Ward, dressed in sleek black gear, surveyed the crowd with an assertive swagger. Grant Maddox, the crowd favorite, received a warm welcome, feeding off the energy as he acknowledged the fans. The match was set, and everyone was eager to see who would claim victory.
As the bell rang, all three wrestlers circled each other, carefully sizing up their opponents. Raya made the first move, launching herself at Grant with a quick Heaven's Close, connecting with a Tornado DDT that sent him crashing to the mat. The impact left Grant momentarily stunned, but before Raya could capitalize, Julian charged in, catching her off guard with a Boardroom Breaker that sent her sprawling to the canvas. The crowd gasped as the quick momentum shifts showcased the unpredictability of these rookies.
With the action moving fast, Julian took control, delivering a series of strikes to both opponents, demonstrating his agility with a well-timed Hostile Takeover on Raya. Just when he thought he had the upper hand, Grant rallied, lifting Julian into a vertical suplex and following up with a full-rotation Maddox Law, nearly scoring a quick pinfall that had the audience on their feet. Biff Franklin, the play-by-play commentator, hyped up the crowd, “You have to admire Maddox’s tenacity here; he’s bringing the fight to both Inella and Ward!”
As the match progressed, all three competitors had their moments of glory. Raya showcased her aerial skills with a stunning slingshot moonsault, while Julian regained his footing, catching her with a Minority Report rolling cross-armbreaker. Just as Raya seemed to be fading, she reversed the hold, countering with a Code Raya that nearly finished Ward off. The near-falls piled up, each display of resilience met with explosive energy from the audience. Seo Hyung Kwon chimed in, “This is what wrestling is all about—intensity, strategy, and pure heart!”
In the final moments of the match, with both Grant and Raya battered but determined, Grant attempted to catch Raya with a sudden lift for his Standard Driver. However, she cleverly maneuvered out, countering with her Ray of Hope! As the move landed, she quickly went for the pin on Grant, who couldn't kick out in time. The referee counted: one, two, three!
As the bell rang, the crowd erupted in cheers, celebrating Raya’s well-earned victory over her unexpectedly fierce opponents. She rose to her feet, raising her arms in triumph, clearly showcasing her hard work leading up to the match.
Winner: Raya Hope Inella by pinfall with Ray of Hope.
