Splat's Calamity Chamber (Part 7)

Posted May 27, 2023Updated Sep 20, 2026

Across the ring, J-Mont has already ascended the ropes and stands on his feet with Ricky Rodriguez caught in a cravat hold, about to receive a super RKO.

Time stands still, capturing the heart-stopping essence of this critical moment. J-Mont's hands firmly grip Ricky's frame, their fingers interlacing like a puzzle falling into place, and with a resounding thud, the earth-shattering impact of the Super RKO reverberates through the ring.

The crash startles Dionysus back into reality, as he pivots to see the pile of bodies in the ring. And the “defeated” John Cable propped up on the ropes. He is 1000% sure that he’s about to be a TIA Co-Champion with J Mont, not realizing that Cable has not been eliminated.

J-Mont, a portrait of confidence, swiftly transitions into a pinning predicament, his body draped across Ricky's battered form. The referee drops to the mat, his hand pounding against the canvas.

ONE…

TWO…

THR…

THR…

THR….

THREE!!!

In the midst of the chaos, Dionysus, overcome with euphoria, rushes to join J-Mont in exuberant celebration, their triumphant smiles intertwining in a tapestry of co-championship glory.

However, as the elation reaches its zenith and the celebration dances upon the precipice of completion, a sudden hush descends upon the arena. A ripple of uncertainty courses through the audience. The realization dawns on the participants, the officials, and the fans alike…

SAUCE BOSS: Oh my. Dionysus is not going to be happy about this. I’ve just gotten official word that J-Mont has won this match, with his two targets, Tempest and Ricky Rodriguez, having been the only wrestlers who have been officially eliminated.

CHERRY COLA: I’m so confused. Why does this have to be so complicated? I barely like wrestling. Just give J Mont whatever he wants and let me wash my cat on his abs.

Like a bolt of lightning illuminating the darkened sky, the truth flashes before the eyes of Dionysus—the untold secret that John Cable, the veteran warrior, was never officially eliminated from the match. Dionysus begins to scramble and explain his case to anyone who will listen.

Most don’t want to hear it. John Cable just thinks it’s hilarious.

In the face of this revelation, the match hangs in an ethereal limbo, caught between the realms of past and present, uncertainty and resolution. The ring official huddles with the referee in earnest discussion, seeking to rectify this unforeseen turn of events. The crowd watches with bated breath.

A signal is made and unheard words are spoken to J Mont. Dionysus intervenes and what he hears hits him like a punch to the gut, his expression transforming from elation to disbelief, then to simmering disappointment.

Entering the ring with the TIA Men’s Championship is the Sauce Boss, dressed in a gray suit with a white shirt and a microphone in hand. He asks the men to show restraint, so that he may address the arena.

SAUCE BOSS: This belt is a symbol of wrestling triumph and glory in Men’s Professional Wrestling. And what I’ve witnessed here tonight is at the pinnacle of sports entertainment. All five of you deserve to hold the championship, but that just isn’t possible. Based upon the decision of the referee and the ring official for the Splate Network, I am presenting this belt to its new owner… Joe… Montuori. J Mont, you’re the rightful victor in the eyes of the officials and you’ve earned it. Congratulations.

The crowd's reaction is a symphony of mixed emotions, a maelstrom of cheers and jeers that washes over the arena, mirroring the divided sentiments within each individual spectator. Some, like Cherry Cola are resolute in their support of the man they call J Mont. She’s openly sobbing and taking creepy upskirt shots of him with her phone at ringside. It appears she may have also thrown her underwear into the ring, but they were hurriedly picked up by the referee.

Dionysus, a storm of conflicting emotions raging within him, rages in a tempest of disappointment and disbelief. The disappointment etched upon his face speaks volumes, the realization of dashed hopes and the bitter taste of an opportunity snatched away hanging heavy in the air. The lingering sense of injustice looms large, casting a shadow over the conclusion of the match.

Sauce Boss presents the flawless championship belt to J Mont, who receives it and holds it high above his head. He floats on a cloud of well deserved pride and undiagnosed egomania. Sauce Boss raises the mic to his face again.

SAUCE BOSS: I do have one more thing to add. J Mont, you’re the winner. That can’t be taken from you. You’re good. Damn good, but you’re also damn lucky. I saw the same thing everyone else in this arena saw tonight. Which is why I’m calling for an immediate rematch. It’ll be you, Joe Montuori, the inaugural TIA Men’s Champion, defending your championship against the number one contender, the Lord of the Vine, Dionysus, in 3 months time at the World Series of Wrestling Draft Show.

J Mont dismissed Dion as a threat and struts over within a few feet of the giant red-bearded man. He offers a wide smile and a tongue in cheek before he walks off to celebrate his most recent and most awesome championship ever.

Dionysus is left empty handed. Bloodied and blooded in the ring. Still within arms reach of the TIA Men’s Championship.

And John Cable watches on from a distance, exiting the arena, unassisted, undefeated and still with a his own score to settle with J Mont and Dionysus. This isn’t over. Not by a long shot.

WINNER: J MONT

MATCH LENGTH: 31 Minutes 14 seconds

INTERSTELLAR GEMINI CHAMPIONSHIP:

FENIX SISTERS VS. 2 BROKE CHICKZ

Ikura ikura ikura ore no kachi wa ikura!

Run it up, run it up, run it up, run it up, run it up, run it up!

Ikura ikura ikura ore no kachi wa ikura!

Run it up, run it up, run it up, run it up, run it up, run it up!

ANARCHY's "Run It Up" comes on over the PA system as the arena lights dim down, bringing all attention to the lighting on and around the stage. Everyone’s attention is on the entrance curtain when, all of a sudden, an air horn like the one heard from a fire engine BLASTS through the arena. From the side of the stage, a tricked out RV painted white with neon blue accents rolls up. As the opening refrain with Skits Vicious begins, the side door flies open and out comes the 2 Broke Chickz. In name only, of course! There’s some visible laughs of amusement as Jane then turns towards the stage and tries to look serious as she approaches the ramp. On the opposite side of the mood spectrum, Chiaki Sanada gives their ride an adoring pat before scurrying to catch up with her tag team partner.

As the two make their way down the ramp, Jane’s attempt to stay serious is all but lost once Chiaki moves in front of her, just goofing off and throwing random signs at the camera in sync with their music. As the chorus plays, Chiaki starts singing along. The strength of the duo finally breaks into laughter at the little one’s antics and the pair continue towards the ring. Once they reach ringside, Jane comes in behind Chiaki and lifts the crazy little Joshi up onto her shoulders. She makes a lap around the ring itself while Chiaki’s waving her arms from side to side over her head, trying to get the fans to join in. They do, for the most part. Chiaki hops off of Jane’s shoulders and onto the apron. She’s back to throwing thuggish little hand signals as Jane climbs onto the apron. Jane climbs into the ring and stands behind Chiaki who is still doing her thing as they both throw up their actual, personal team gesture. Chiaki finally gets into the ring and the two of them move to their corner, removing their entrance gear and getting in a bit of last minute extra stretching as they get ready for their match.

Madoka Kawada: Welcome back to Calamity Chamber! The following contest is one fall for the Splat Interstellar Gemini Championship! In the ring! THE CHALLENGERS for the Interstellar Gemini Championships! They are Chiaki Sanada, and Jane Harper! 2! BROKE! CHICKS!

Jazmin Davis: The challengers are here, and this could be a great one to watch!

Skylar Rayner: You’re right, Jazmin, this could be a tough one with how evenly matched they are and how different, especially, Chiaki is compared to Jennie and Tara. The Fenix Sisters, where they come from, are used to being the smallest. They are used to having to use that speed, agility, technical ability, and everything they can… but Chiaki Sanada could be a big difference maker for them here tonight. Jane Harper is a capable technician, and you have to wonder how she’s going to hold up to the task of outclassing Tara.

Hail, hail the black sheep

We are blood, we are family

The introduction of “Black Sheep” by Dorothy hits the sound waves, and the crowd is going wild before The Fenix Sisters emerge from behind the curtains. The camera surveys the crowd where a number of signs are held up in support of the sisters. Two spotlights encircle the arena before finally landing on the curtains; Jennie is the first to burst out from behind the curtains, with Tara just a step behind her. Jennie rallies the crowd up and calls for them to get louder. Meanwhile, Tara just stands atop center stage and does her own survey of the crowd. Jennie hops off the stage and mingles with the crowd in the front row for several seconds, and Tara starts making her way down the ramp; she raises the “devil horns” up for the fans, and about halfway down, Jennie joins her back on the ramp and puts an arm around her shoulder while the two sisters now walk side by side down to the end of the ramp. Tara walks straight for the steel steps, while Jennie circles the other side of the ring and slides under the bottom rope; she gets up to her knees and points out to the crowd. Tara remains on the ring apron for several seconds, and hooks both of her arms over the top rope while looking out at the crowd.

Jennie springs to her feet, and rushes to the nearest turnbuckle; she climbs to the second rope, and blows several kisses out to the audience. Tara walks to the far side, and blows a single kiss for the audience until she gets to their ring corner, where Jennie finally joins her. The two talk strategy with one another while waiting for the match to start.

Madoka Kawada: And entering the ring! They are the REIGNING INTERSTELLAR GEMINI CHAMPIONS! They are JENNIE and TARA FENIX! THE! FENIX! SISTERS!

Skylar Rayner: Tara and Jennie are looking to keep their titles tonight, but as we just said, this is going to be a tough task for them. Jennie is looking to be insistent about starting in the ring this time.

Jazmin Davis: It looks like Tara is going to let it happen, and across– Chiaki! OH! THIS MATCH IS UNDERWAY!

The bell sounds, and Jennie charges out of the corner to go right for Chiaki! Chiaki and Jennie clash near the center of the ring– Tara and Jane watch from their respective corners. Chiaki manages to take Jennie over with a Japanese arm drag, and both women kip back to their feet; Jennie catches Chiaki with an Ippon Seoi Nage! She immediately cradles Chiaki in a pin attempt…

ONE!

CHIAKI KICKS OUT!

The force of the kick out causes Jennie to lose some of her positioning over Chiaki, and Jennie opts to go for her feet at the same time as Chiaki.

Skylar Rayner: You absolutely have to watch out for some of those pins from Jennie! She has ended matches in mere seconds because of how quick she can roll someone up, and use that leverage.

Jazmin Davis: Absolutely, Skylar!

Skylar Rayner: And these two are coming out with some wild fighting to kick things off, and it looks like Chiaki is trying to swing the momentum back in their own favor– Chiaki hits Jennie with a great kick against her midsection! That’ll drive the wind right out of you!

Jazmin Davis: These two were bickering on Twitter early on, and I kind of feel that’s why Jennie rushed to start this match off against her.

Skylar Rayner: Jennie isn’t known for letting people openly talk smack.

Chiaki continues with several more kicks against Jennie; Jennie finally shoves her back, and charges forward only for Chiaki to answer with a scissor leg sweep! Chiaki is quicker to her feet this time, and Jennie is still kneeling…Chiaki fires a spinning kick aimed for Jennie’s head! JENNIE DUCKS! Jennie rolls Chiaki up into another cover–

ONE!

Chiaki rolls out of it, but has Jennie’s arm! Chiaki goes for a triangle choke!

Jazmin Davis: Jennie is getting a little overzealous, and we see a terrific counter from Chiaki!

Jennie and Chiaki are still fighting for control, as it appears that Chiaki does not quite have the hold locked in; Jennie is able to step to Chiaki’s side, and step through– Jennie drives a knee down against Chiaki’s ribs, causing her to groan as she covers her side. Chiaki still manages to get back to her feet, covering her ribs– Jennie rains with several strikes, and Chiaki connects with an elbow in the counter…

Jennie and Chiaki are still locked in a clinch, and Jennie takes Chiaki over with a Flying Juji Gatame! It looks like Jennie may go for a cross armbar, so Chiaki scrambles, but Jennie gets another cradle as Chiaki kicks her legs up!

ONE!

TWO!

CHIAKI KICKS OUT!

Jazmin Davis: It never ceases to amaze me how fast Jennie can go for those covers.

Skylar Rayner: You’re absolutely right, Jazmin, she’s had a series of quick covers attempted and that is forcing Chiaki to exert some energy to kick out! Jennie is doing a good job with maintaining control over Chiaki in this situation– and it looks like Jennie is– yes, Jennie brings Tara into the match! But she’s still got Chiaki locked!
