Limelight: Underground Nightmare

Narrator: It is Sunday afternoon in Hudson Yards. Hudson Yards is the headquarters of where most of the Five Boroughs Wrestling stars live if they do not travel. The 5BW Facility is where the classes for Softball Night Academy take place. Meagan G is one of the trainers as well as the general manager of Five Boroughs Wrestling. Her best friend, Jamey Caresalle, happens to be one of the commentators and the host of Destination with Sarah McCarthy.

At the table during a late lunch, Meagan G and Jamey Caresalle are looking at pictures, reminiscing about their careers.

Meagan G: I really want to show Kelsea this when she is of age.

Jamey Caresalle: Don’t show her that. She will ask a lot of questions about why her mother was like that in the past.

Meagan G: Are you saying that I was bad-looking?

Jamey Caresalle: Phil wouldn’t be happy if I was looking at you like that.

Meagan shakes her head.

Meagan G: I kind of wish I never got into this mess in the first place. As a matter of fact, this month is the same month we signed our contracts with the Canadian Vendetta League.

Jamey sighs, knowing that Canadian Vendetta League was something that would cause the first of their many nightmares.

Jamey Caresalle: Oh god….do not get me started on this.

Meagan G: What do you actually remember?

September of 2006: Jamey Caresalle’s first match in Canadian Vendetta League against Danny Doorells.

Narrator: Jamey Caresalle won his match by his finisher, which would start off one hell of a career in the company, but it was a little amount of time before it would go downhill. The following week, Meagan G would be behind him, and they would team up against Danny Doorells and Liz McCan, a match they would both lose.

Jamey Caresalle: Honestly, I really don’t remember that much from the first week of Canadian Vendetta League. I just know that it was a blur. I will say this, your match with Nicole Phoenix had everyone talking.

Same Month: Meagan faced off against Nicole Phoenix and lost in a valiant effort, but Nicole said this was a learning experience for Meagan. While Meagan gave Nicole respect and called her “mentor,” Nicole did not give Meagan the same back and would blast her for a total of two years.

Meagan G: Nicole Phoenix. Where to begin with her?

Jamey Caresalle: Everyone saw that match. I was impressed with it, and everyone that had your back, but Nicole? She was on some level and not in a good way.

Meagan G: It’s like everyone that faced off against her, she was threatened by. I remember Liz, God rest her soul, walking out of the promotion right after CVL went big. Liz said, “Fuck This” I am out.

Jamey Caresalle: Do you remember the comment she made towards her when Liz was pregnant with her first child?

Meagan G: Bright as fucking day. It was….ahhhhh

Jamey Caresalle: They wanted to make fun of us, especially the person you faced off against, next

Narrator: We went to an airing of the match of Michelle Treduex facing off against Meagan back in October of 2006 for the Divas Championship. Before the match, Meagan was attacked by Drake Garrn for her weight, which embarrassed the hell out of Meagan. Jamey would come out and play even, but Drake would attack him. We also go to an airing of when Jamey and Danny teamed up against the Insane Clown Posse. Yes, you read that right.

Jamey Caresalle: You know, after all those years, I still wonder about what could’ve gone differently.

Meagan G: They knew what they were doing. You were the outcast if you did not side with Nicole Phoenix, Canadian World Order, or anyone associated with them. Though, as they would say, the outcasts do win, or one of them.

Jamey Caresalle: Didn’t you defeat Amanda Doorells at the last show of the year?

Meagan G: I did, and I also became the first Fatale Champion. They didn’t even acknowledge that.

Jamey Caresalle: Bastards.

Meagan G: However, World Onslaught League, which was their next name because CVL’s name was taken away from them, but it was Sean that got the last laugh….or as we thought.

Narrator: In the summer of 2007, Meagan G, Jamey Caresalle, Danny Doorells, Amanda Doorells, Liz McCan, and a few others were tired of how everything went down in the company and opened up Underground Championship Wrestling. From there, it was a movement and a place where everyone could be themselves.

Meagan G: Underground Championship Wrestling from late 2007 to mid-2008 was the place to be.

Jamey Caresalle: Hell, we had everyone there, and it didn’t matter. Your then-boyfriend, Brad, was also there too.

Meagan G: And you know the funny thing about that? He had freaking Shut Your Mouth by Pain.

Jamey facepalms and laughs.

Jamey Caresalle: And you want to know something? That was the biggest FU.

Meagan G: It was, but let me tell you something...

Meagan looks at him.

Meagan G: When I won the UCW Fatale Championship, I felt validated.

Narrator: In September of 2007, at an event called “Whiplash,” Meagan G finally won the Fatale Championship from Tori Doorells. However, at Saint Nicholas Day Massacre, Meagan would drop the championship to Liz McCan. Meagan was fighting back and forth along the line for the title, but it was the Ring General Championship she wanted the most. At the same event, Jamey Caresalle would drop the Electric Championship to Matt During.

In 2008, Jamey Caresalle would become Electric Champion on two more occasions, while Meagan’s quest for the Ring General Championship was cut short due to people interfering. In Meagan’s hometown, she defeated Brenda Miller in a Highway to Hell match. In Jamey’s case, a big chance would come.

Jamey Caresalle: When you said “validated,” I think all of us were, but it was me that had the chance of a lifetime.

Meagan G: The Underground Championship World Championship against CJ, am I right?

Jamey Caresalle: Yes, Ma’am.
